Let’s see how astute you guys are today.
How many of you know how much I love burritos?
How many of you know how much I love Pork?
How many of you know how much I love America’s Test Kitchen?
How many of you know that this is my ONE HUNDREDTH post??????
How many of you know that it’s my birthday this week?!?!!!?!
How many of you are sick of me asking you questions?????
What is the whole POINT of this post??!?!
Besides me telling you about these awesome burritos (they were awesome) I have decided that I want to give you a present for my birthday.
You’ve seen me post a couple of recipes about my newest cookbook, Slow Cooker Revolution. I am seriously in love with this cookbook. I love my slow cooker, I use it all the time. I even have a smaller slow cooker that I use for dips mostly (and desserts!). What I like most about this cookbook is that it’s more than just throwing stuff in the slow cooker and letting it do it’s thing. While there are some recipes that throw everything into the slow cooker and it comes out great, there are other recipes that just fall flat. By doing a little extra grunt work before putting everything into the slow cooker, the flavor comes out 1000x more.
Well, the lovely people at America’s Test Kitchen are letting me giveaway a copy of Slow Cooker Revolution to one of my readers! Chock full of 200 recipes, from breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, sides, and everything in between, even if you don’t win this copy you need to buy this book if you love slow cooker’s like I do!
So, how do you enter to win? Simple. Just leave a comment telling me what’s your favorite way to use your slow cooker!

MMMM. Slow cooker love. I’ve only used my slowcooker to make kale and white bean soup. it was delicious. but i think i may need to do something else with it, ya know? ❤ you!
I like both on FB already 🙂
OMG that looks amazing and I WANT.
My fave way to use my slow cooker… Hmm. I JUST started using it, so I haven’t tried too many ways. But so far? Chili!! In the winter, chili is the ultimate comfort food. Yum.
P.S. We need to:
1) Go out to dinner again soon and
2) Try cooking together!
It’s a date!!
Happy Birthday! There is a special stew called cholent which Jews slow cook all winter long, from Friday night to Saturday afternoon to eat for lunch on the Sabbath. It’s unbelievably delicious and makes your house smell magical. CheapBeets@wordpress.com

My favorite way is to make beef tips–so delicious!!
That burrito looks yummy! I use my slow cooker to make corned beef and cabbage. It doesn’t get a lot of use, so I would love a cookbook for some new ideas.
Yum these look fantastic!! I like using a slow cooker for things like pork that need a lot of time to break down and tenderize, because I can leave them in the cooker for hours without doing any work, and have an amazing result!
Also, I already follow both you and Test Kitchen, and I tweeted about the giveaway!
Well whaddya know–My favorite way to use the slow cooker is to slow cook pork! My mom has an amazing pork roast recipe that makes the pork incredibly moist, tender, and delicious!
The slow cooker is one of my best friends in the kitchen. This book would be phenomenal to have! 🙂
I like you and ATK on Facebook!
Tweeted!! 😀
I like making curries in my slow cooker! I only recently got my slow cooker so still learning! =)
That sounds really interesting! I’m a BIG curry fan!
Oh my word. You know I’m going to make these as soon as I’m within arm’s reach of my slow cooker. And since my GF is a member of the Tribe, I’ll use my other slow cooker (I have a problem) to make “refried” beans that are really just dry pinto beans cooked all day in water with a bunch of spices and a quartered onion. I’m seriously giddy thinking about slow cooker burrito night.
I love using my slow cooker for enchilada sauces – and pulled pork, of course!
I love my slow cooker AND Americas Test Kitchen! Durning the winter months my slow cooker gets a perminant spot on my kitchen counters. I think my favorite thing to make is a big batch of tortilla soup. Or mac and cheese, so yummy!
I LOVE pork, especially in burritos. PLEASE enter me in the giveaway.
My favorite way to use my slow cooker is by making overnight oatmeal. The smell of cinnamon and other warm spices in the morning is just delightful!
I tweeted!
I like you both on Facebook!
Glad to find your blog! Great give away, too.
My favorite way is…not using it. It kind of scares me! i don’t know WHAT to put in there. I’ve tried a couple things like…chicken and lemon sauce…and it was ok, but not great. I need new ideas!
I’m not entering, since I already own a copy, but those burritos look fantastic.
I love my slow cooker partly because it makes me kitchen smell sooo gooood even tho I haven’t been in there cooking away for hours! I use mine often to make tomato gravy…it cooks down to a thick, dark gravy, just the way we like it.
I have been thinking about buying this book for a while. I use the slow cooker most often to make steel cut oats!
I use my slow cooker alot to reheat frozen dinners. If I make a lasagna, I freeze part of it in a tupperware that will fit inside the crock, so I can just pop it out as a round frozen block, plug my crock into a light timer, set it to kick on and simply heat it through (not overcook it). Piping hot, reheated dinner when I get home. on the table in 5 min.
Would so love to win this book!
Wow that’s a great tip! I would have never thought to use it to reheat leftovers!
I make a mean crockpot lasagne.
Thanks for hosting this giveaway! I like to make chili in my slow cooker.
I like you both on Facebook too 🙂
What a great contest! I love my slow cooker. Favorite thing to do: poaching a whole chicken. Insanely easy, infinite flavor combinations, totally delicious.
Oooh I had never heard of poaching a chicken in a slow cooker. I’m intrigued!
i LOVE making bbq ribs in my slow cooker. it’s a really basic recipe i found in a magazine a few years ago, but it’s so simple and so delicious.
oh, and happy birthday! 🙂
Happy birthday and thanks for doing the giveaway. My favorite way to use the slow cooker is to make soup. Lentil soup is one of my favorites!
I love this chicken ranch recipe that we made a year or so ago. It was delicious, but… it wasn’t an America’s Test Kitchen recipe. I can’t WAIT to try this pulled pork recipe. I’m sure it will be FANTASTIC as always. Thanks for sharing, and happy blogging!!
My favorite way of using a slow cooker is when you want to have friends over for a weeknight meal. No having to hustle to get a meal together after a long day at work. Just make a salad, serve your day-long simmered concoction straight out of the crock and enjoy your company!
I love to make chili in our slow cooker. BF makes pulled pork and I love it.
I tweeted!!
cook chicken thighs in leftover pulled pork. good times.
I just picked up the cookbook at the library and can’t wait to try the brunch recipes in the slow cooker. yum….
This looks awesome! I love using my slow cooker for pulled pork, but I usually just end up making some kind of beef stew.

Oops! Double post. I tweeted you too though!
